• Does the hotel close in winter?
  No, Carlstens Soldathotell is open for booking all year round!
• How to get into the hotel after the fortress is closed?
  When you check in at Soldathotellet you get your own key to the mighty fortress gate and can thus come and go as you please.
• Can you bring a dog to Carlsten Fortress?
  Yes, dogs are always welcome in the fortress area and we also have some rooms for hotel guests with dogs.
• Do you have to pay admission to the fortress if you are staying at the hotel?
  Of course, the entrance to the fortress is included when staying with us.
• Can you take the car out to Marstrandsön?
  No, it is only utility traffic on Marstrandsön. However, parking is available adjacent to the ferry on Koön. The ferry takes only a few minutes across the strait.

• When do you have to check out of the rooms?
  Check-out must be made at 11.00 a.m. unless otherwise agreed upon at the time of booking.
• When is the last time you have to check in to the rooms?
  Check-in takes place between 14:00-18:00 or by appointment. (Check-in between 14.00-18.00 unless otherwise agreed.)
• Can you pay via the website?
  No, payment is made on site when you arrive at the hotel. However, you can easily book rooms on our booking page. Remember that the booking is valid only when you have received a booking confirmation from us. Click here to get to the booking page.
• Is breakfast included in the rates?
  Breakfast is included and served in the fair between 08:00-10:00
• Do all rooms have their own shower and toilet?
  Yes, all rooms have their own shower and toilet, but some rooms do have their own shower and toilet just outside their room.
• Is there a meeting room at the hotel for larger parties?
  Yes, just enter this at the time of booking so we know what you want.
• Can you book guided tours at Carlsten Fortress?
  Yes, for Carlsten Fortress opening hours and regarding guided tours call: 0303-611 67
• How is the fortress open to general visitors?

• When is the last time you have to cancel your room?

• Can you change the number of people booked?
  Of course, it is possible to change, but no later than 24 hours before the booked date.
