• Does the hotel close in winter?
  No, Carlstens Soldathotell is open for booking all year round!
• How do I get into the hotel when the fortress is closed?
  When you check in at Soldathotellet, you will receive your own key to the mighty fortress gate, so you can come and go as you please.
• Can I bring my dog to Carlsten Fortress?
  Yes, dogs are always welcome in the fortress area and we also have some rooms for hotel guests with dogs.
• Do you have to pay admission to the fortress if you stay at the hotel?
  Of course, admission to the fortress is included when you stay with us.
• Can I take my car to Marstrand Island?
  No, there is only commercial traffic on Marstrandsön. However, parking is available next to the ferry on Koön. The ferry only takes a few minutes across the strait.

• When do I have to check out of the rooms?
  The check-out time is 11:00 unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking.
• What is the latest time to check-in to the rooms?
  Check-in takes place between 14.00-18.00 or as agreed (Check-in between 14.00-18.00 unless otherwise is agreed.)
• Can I pay via the website?
  No, payment is made on site when you arrive at the hotel. However, you can easily book a room on our booking page. Remember that the booking is only valid once you have received a booking confirmation from us. Click here to go to the booking page.
• Is breakfast included in the prices?
  Breakfast is included and served in the mess hall between 08.00-10.00
• Do all rooms have their own shower and toilet?
  Yes, all rooms have a private shower and toilet, however, some rooms have a private shower and toilet just outside their room.
• Is there a meeting room at the hotel for larger groups?
  Yes, just indicate this when booking so we know what you want.
• Can I book guided tours of Carlsten Fortress?
  Yes, for Carlstens Fästning’s opening hours and for guided tours call: 0303-611 67
• How is the fortress open to public visitors?

• When is the last day to cancel the room?

• Can I change the number of people booked?
  Of course, it is possible to change, but no later than 24 hours before the booked date.
